2.  What is there to do in your area?

This home is the epitome of relaxation and outdoor appreciation.  Worlds End State Park is 8 minutes away with its hiking trails, swimming beach, camping facility, and hunting gamelands.  Dushore is 10 minutes away to the north with a few restaurants and a small grocery store.

The town of Laporte is within walking distance and has a general store, a bank, a post office, a county courthouse, and a small medical facility.  It has a great iceskating rink in the winter and a nice carnival in the summer.  Laporte is also home to one of Central Pennsylvania's finest wineries, Eaglerock Winery, a 3 minute drive from the Brown House.

Eaglesmere is a 10 minute drive from the Brown House, known for its rich history of vactioners from NYC and Philadelphia escaping the heat of the cities over the past 100 years.  The architecture of the vacation homes is worth the trip down Route 442.  The town has small specialty shops and a great little restaurant open in the summer.  In the winter when the conditions are right, take a once of a lifetime ride on an ice tobaggon ride over Eaglesmere Lake.

Sleeps 15 people in 3 Bedrooms and a sleeping loft with bunkbeds, a futon, a pull out bed, and 2 blowup beds.

There are three full bathrooms.

5.  What do we need to bring with us? 

The only thing you need to bring is your food.  All linens are provided.  If you are fishing, please bring your own poles.  Sometimes bait will be available in the refrigerator in the poolroom.  Additional bait is available at the general store located in Laporte.
